In memory of fallen Hospitaller Natalia Frauscher "Austriika"

October 27 marks the birthday of Hospitaller Natalia Frauscher "Avstriyka". She would have turned 51.
Natalia was born in Kropyvnytskyi, earned qualifications in two medical specialties, traveled to more than a hundred countries, and lived in Innsbruck, Austria. However, when Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she could not stand aside. She supported Ukraine by providing medical supplies, evacuating animals, and helping children from Ukrainian orphanages.
On May 6, 2022, Natalia joined the Hospitallers. During her 51 days with Hospitallers, she saved more than 250 wounded.
On June 26, 2022, Natalia suffered a severe traumatic brain injury in a road accident involving the "Kraken" evacuation bus. Despite the medical team's efforts, her life could not be saved.
Natalia was posthumously awarded the "Knight's Cross".

But her mission did not end with her passing. An evacuation bus was named in her honor, carrying on her life-saving work. To date, the "Avstriyka" evacuation bus has evacuated approximately 14,000 wounded.
We remember Natalia, her determination, her devotion to Ukraine, and every life she fought to save. Honor to her memory!
