Thanks to our German friends for help!

Updated: Jun 17, 2022

Ukrainian paramedics in the battle zone are in critical demand for medicines and medical equipment to deliver emergency aid. Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe - a German social-humanitarian organization that specializes in emergency medical aid, became aware of the Hospitallers and immediately responded by providing support.

They supplied us with ballistic protection to ensure their safety on the front lines, as well as many harnesses and bandages, which are essential for stabilizing victims with life-threatening injuries, with an overall cost of 60 000 euros.

We teamed up and worked like a real unit - fast, coordinated, and organized following the same goal!

Our convoy left London on Thursday, June 2. In order to pick up the medical equipment, our drivers made a detour across Hamburg. Due to the rough road and the late night arrival in Hamburg, the loading of the equipment into the pickup trucks was decided to start in the morning.

At 10 a.m. on June 3rd our vehicles were prepared for loading and in 40 minutes Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe team fully loaded cars and we were ready to roll out. Such a quick loading made it possible to leave Hamburg before noon on Friday, and 3 days later our convoy was already at the Hospitallers location in Ukraine.

We are very grateful to our German friends for their support and help! Hundreds of lives in Ukraine are saved thanks to the rapid and timely delivery of medical equipment and medicines.
